General chat:: Any Questions?
Glad someone noticed Mitch.

The stuff on the Edit Account screen can be ignored. The majority of the information there is for the use of PC Geeks.

All the fields under the time zone are for you to supply your contact details on various web based communication tools.

ICQ - an online chat and voice thingy
AIM - AOL online chat thingy
YIM - Yahoo online chat thingy
MSNM - Microsoft Network Messenger - another online chat thingy

Then there's signature. The theory is that whenever you post something to the site, your signature is automatically appended.

The bottom line is, If you don't know what it's for, don't worry about it and ignore it. This advice can apply to real life too, apply it to things like "The Boss", "The Husband", "The Wife".

What's this SKYPE thing then? [by Andy]

General chat:: What's this SKYPE thing then?
Registered users will see a link on the right hand side of the main page marked "Call Me" - this will start a skype call to me.
If you have a microphone and speakers on your PC and you are connected with the internet, SKYPE is a free program which allows you to make free calls over the internet at no cost.

The software is free, as are the calls. You can also use it to make calls to land lines and while these do cost money, they are very much cheaper than standard phone rates.

Give it a go and see.
